Create an XRPL wallet
Account / Seed
As our platform is built on the XRP Ledger you will need an activated wallet address (rAddress) to begin participating, There are many ways you can generate* a wallet address but if you are new to the space we would highly recommend downloading the secure non-custodial wallet app Xaman to get started.
When you generate an account you will obtain a Seed also known as a Family Seed or SeedPhrase, this seed is used to derive your public and private keys and must be handled carefully.
Anyone who has access to this seed has full control of the account so take all nessesary precautions to protect this at all times, whoever asks for this usually has malicious intent knowing this is the fastest way to compromise your account.
The best advice is to never share this, write it down in multiple times seperate into parts and store it in different locations, remember :-
"NOT YOU KEYS NOT YOUR CRYPTO".
Account Reserves
To activate a wallet and perform transactions on the Ledger you will need the native asset XRP, this is most prevalent when you have generated your first wallet.
Each wallet must be funded with a minimum of 1 XRP (base reserve*) and a little extra if your looking to start performing transacting and adding other issued assets .
Each additional object in your account whether that's a trust line or a transaction it will add a 0.2 XRP (Owner reserve*) to you wallet that is held until a transaction is completed or you remove the object from your account.
You can get started on XRMine with just the 1 XRP ( base reserve ) without issues but we would recommend activating wallets with a minimum of 5 XRP.
